The time has finally come! Baseball season in Berlin is ready to start—and it’s shaping up to be one of our biggest yet. This year marks our highest enrollment in the past seven years, with two T-Ball teams, four Coach Pitch teams, and two Major League teams all set to take the field. It’s a great sign for the continued growth of youth baseball in our community, and we couldn’t be more excited to see so many players back out at the ballpark.

Opening Day is always a special moment, and this year will be no different. It’s a chance for players to pull on their jerseys for the first time, for families to reconnect after the off-season, and for everyone to enjoy a day centered around baseball, community, and a bit of friendly competition. Whether you’ve been part of the league for years or are just stopping by to see what it’s all about, there’s something for everyone.

Come join us for our Opening Day celebrations! The Opening Day Ceremony and Ceremonial First Pitch will take place at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 25th at our ballpark on Sachtlebenstrasse 36. Stick around after the ceremony to catch the first games of the season, grab a hot dog, and cheer on Berlin’s next generation of ballplayers.

We’re excited to announce that tryouts for the upcoming season will take place on Saturday April 18th at 10:00 AM at our home field, located at Sachtlebenstraße 36.

Whether your child is a returning player or brand new to the game, we welcome all skill levels to come out, have fun, and show what they can do. Our coaches will be there to guide players through a series of simple drills and help place everyone in the right spot for a great season ahead.

Please make sure players arrive a few minutes early, dressed comfortably and ready to play. Don’t forget to bring water and any equipment you may have (gloves, bats, etc.—but we’ll have extras on hand if needed).

It’s that time again! ALLBB is back for it’s spring season and it’s bigger than ever. This season we’re thrilled to announce that our season will extend into the fall, giving you more baseball! In addition, we’ve lowered fees to make the game more accessible to more families. This season dues will total 130 Euro: 80 Euro charged by the league and 50 Euro to the Hauptverein. Players who are new to the JFK Sports Club will also be charged a 50 Euro entrance fee by the Hauptverein.

Our field cleanup day will be Saturday, the 21st of March in conjunction with the Wizards at our field at Sachtlebenstrasse 36 – Please come help keep our field the most beautiful in all of Berlin!

This year we will be requiring registration before our try-out day. The registration deadline is April 15th, and tryouts will take place on Saturday April 18.

What a way to kick off the ALLBB season! Opening Day this past Saturday was a huge success, with sunshine, great baseball, and a warm community atmosphere from start to finish. Families, players, and coaches came together to celebrate the start of another exciting season of youth baseball in Berlin.

We couldn’t have asked for better weather. With clear skies and spring warmth, it was the perfect setting for baseball. The day started with a memorable opening ceremony that set the tone. Kenny Norgren brought energy to the field with a powerful electric guitar rendition of the U.S. national anthem, followed by a heartfelt and beautifully sung German anthem by George Friedrich Takis. Longtime heart of the league Gregg Norgren had the honor of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch to get things started.

 

 

 

 

The action on the field didn’t disappoint. All six of our league teams hit the diamond throughout the day, competing in three exciting games that kept fans on their feet. From big hits to great defensive plays, it was clear that the players were ready to go after a long off-season.

Thanks to all the families who came out to support the players and helped make the day special. Whether you were cheering from the bleachers, volunteering at the field, or just soaking in the sun with a coffee in hand, your presence made a difference.

If your child is still interested in joining, it’s not too late! Our Toss Ball league (ages 6–7) and Minor Leagues (ages 8–12) are still accepting players of all skill levels. Come join the fun — we’d love to see you on the field!

The All Baseball Fun League (ALLBB) is back and ready for another season on the diamond! Our league is all about enjoying the game, making friends, and creating a fun space for everyone – players, parents, and fans alike. The league is open to boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 12, with the younger ages playing t-ball. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming season.

Winter Season: Practice and Playful Skill-Building

The winter season kicks off in early December, focused on learning the game, honing skills, building teamwork, and getting into baseball mode. This is the perfect time for players to get an introduction to baseball fundamentals or stretch their baseball skills. This practice-centered season is designed to help players learn the game and prepare for the play that awaits in the spring.

• When: Thursday evenings, 530-7pm (additional time slots may be added with excess demand)
• Where: Old JFKS gym (Teltower Damm 87-93)
• Winter Practice Start Date: December 5, 2024
• Winter Practice End Date: End of March, 2025

 

Spring Season: Let the Games Begin

Following winter practice, our spring season starts in April, with teams competing in 10 thrilling games throughout the season. Games will be on Saturdays and teams will have 1 practice during the week (Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday).

How to Get Involved

Whether you’re a player, coach, or parent there are plenty of ways to be a part of this season. Here’s how you can get involved:

• Join a Team: Fill out the Registration Form and send it to registrar@allbb.de
  • €200 for winter/spring seasons (includes a full baseball uniform from an American MLB team)
  • €70 for winter-only
  • €190 for spring-only (includes a full baseball uniform from an American MLB team)
• Volunteer: WE NEED COACHES for all age groups to get this season started! No prior coaching experience is necessary!! PLEASE send us an email or fill out the Volunteer Form if you can help

After the season is before the season! Today we had a wonderful final day of the 2024 ALLBB season at the field in Berlin-Zehlendorf — we want to thank all the parents, volunteers, coaches, and especially the kids for making the first post-covid and field rebuild season a spectacular success and we look forward to seeing many of you again next year!

The first game days of the All Baseball Funleague are behind us…

It’s great to see the excitement and joy with which our children received their jerseys on opening day and the pride with which they wear them in the game. It’s great to see from week to week how – especially with the T-ballers – their understanding of the game is growing and how much fun our children are having in training and at matches.

Soon the season will be over and the question will arise as to what to do next…

The current board of the All Baseball Funleague will step down at the end of the season, as our children have now grown out of the ALLBB age groups and it is time to pass on the baton.

This means that if the All Baseball Funleague is to continue to exist, we need committed parents like you to take up our positions on the board and continue to rebuild it. With the numerous children, a good basis has been laid for this…

We are looking for parents for the following positions:

• President (including committee appointments at SC JFKS, coordination of the Board, …)
• Vice-President (including support for the President)
• Secretary (including correspondence and minute-taking, external inquiries)
• Registrar (e.g. registration, reminders)
• Treasurer
• Volunteer Coordinator (including organizing the concession stand and the necessary volunteers)
• Coach Coordinator (e.g. organization of coaches)
• Umpire Coordinator (e.g. organization of the umpires)
• Equipment Manager (e.g. equipment procurement and issue)
• Field Manager (maintenance of the field)
• PR and Website
